Scoot Wi-Fi: Pricing, Plans and How to Connect

Wi-Fi on Scoot is sold by data (MB/GB), not by time. Once you log in, your plan runs until the data is used up. Scoot Wi-Fi is only available on Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights, so check your aircraft type before you count on it.

The prices below are in USD. Buying before your flight costs much less than buying in the air, so if you know you will need a connection, sort it out at home.

How to Connect to Scoot Wi-Fi (scootwifi.com Login Steps)

The Wi-Fi portal only opens once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet.

1. Turn on Airplane Mode, then switch Wi-Fi back on.
2. Join the network named Scoot_WiFi.
3. Open your browser. The Scoot Wi-Fi portal should load by itself. If it doesn't, type scootwifi.com into the address bar (no need for "www").
4. Choose a plan.
5. If you bought data earlier, log in with the code from your booking. If not, pay onboard with a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB and similar) or PayPal.

Portal won't load? Try a private/incognito tab, clear your browser cache, or turn Wi-Fi off and on again. Scoot's in-flight Wi-Fi is provided by Panasonic, and the portal sometimes stalls until a fresh browser session is opened.

Scoot Wi-Fi Pricing: Pre-Purchase vs Onboard

There is no unlimited plan. Prices can change, so confirm the current rate on Scoot's own Wi-Fi page before you buy.

Which plan should you pick?

• Just want to tell someone you landed: Tweet 20 is enough for text.
• One high-quality phone photo is roughly 5–10MB, so 20MB fills up quickly if you send pictures.
• Checking mail and a few messages on a flight of a few hours: Surf 80 or Indulge 200.
• Video calls and streaming are a poor fit. Even the 1GB plan is small for video, and speeds vary in the air.

How to Buy Scoot Wi-Fi Before Your Flight

You can add a Wi-Fi plan on flyscoot.com through Manage My Booking, before departure. Your access code is emailed to you and also shows in the Manage My Booking section. Save it on your phone before you board, because you may not be able to reach your email without a connection.

If you have a connecting flight on another Scoot Dreamliner, unused data rolls over to your next flight within 24 hours.

ScootPlus and Free Wi-Fi Data

ScootPlus passengers get a complimentary Wi-Fi allowance. From 1 November 2025, this is 200MB (it was 30MB before). If you need more than that, you can buy a plan on top.

Can I Use Scoot Wi-Fi on Two Devices?

One device at a time. If you want to switch from your laptop to your phone, log out on the first device before logging in on the second.

Keeping Your Phone Charged

Battery drains faster when your phone keeps searching for a signal. Power outlets are free on ScootPlus. In Economy, there is a small fee for using the power outlet at your seat, which you pay for through the same Wi-Fi portal.

FAQs

Where do I find my pre-purchased Wi-Fi code?
It arrives by email after you buy it and also appears under Manage My Booking on the Scoot website. Keep a copy on your phone or on your boarding pass in case you can't open your email in the air.

Is Scoot Wi-Fi available on every flight?
No. Only Boeing 787 Dreamliner flights have it. Other Scoot aircraft don't.

Will 20MB let me send photos?
Barely. One or two photos can use most of it. Treat Tweet 20 as a plan for text messages.

Is the connection good enough for YouTube or Netflix?
Not really. In-flight speeds change with the route and the number of people online. Streaming will buffer, even on the larger plans. Turn off automatic app updates and background refresh to save data.

Why can't I log in to scootwifi.com?
Confirm you are on the Scoot_WiFi network and that the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Then reopen the browser in a private tab and type scootwifi.com directly.

Does unused data expire?
Data left on your plan can be used on an onward Scoot flight within the next 24 hours.
